The cost varies depending upon what services the client is interested in. A simple concept plan ranges in cost from $1,000 to $1,500, while complete design development with an estimate and planting plan ranges from $1,000 to $2,000.
Installation costs include plant materials, labor, and the coordination of the project. The cost of installation depends upon the cost of the materials and the amount of labor required to complete the project.

It depends on the extent of the work to be done. In cases where an entire property is going to be redesigned, it is often helpful to have a master-plan, especially if the installation is going to occur over time. A master-plan not only makes the design unambiguous and integrated for the installers, but also gives the client a clear idea of what their landscape will look like when the installation is completed.
For smaller landscapes and gardens, design can often occur on-site, eliminating the need for a plan. Once ideas and plant material have been discussed thoroughly with the client, we can frequently design the garden as we install it. This is one of the many advantages of hiring a designer who is also intimately involved in the installation of the garden.

- What are your guarantees?
|
The performance of the plant material is guaranteed for one full growing season after installation, except in the case of vandalism (including damage by animals), theft, lack of or too much water, neglect or unusually severe weather conditions. Each situation will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and depends upon individual nursery policies. Instructions for maintenance will be given to the owner. If the client wishes, a periodic maintenance check will be conducted by the contractor for an agreed upon fee.

- What type of payment plans do you offer?
|
Usually for plans we ask for half up front and half upon completion and approval. For installations, we ask for a third up front, a third mid-way through the process and a third upon completion and approval.

- I know nothing about plants, so how do I tell you what I want?
|
By looking at our portfolio, books, catalogues, magazines, and by perhaps taking pictures of things you like, we can assess the plant material and style that is appropriate for you and your landscape.

Yes, for major hardscapes we will bring in a qualified and experienced mason. Also, for in depth horticultural questions, we employ the services of a trained and certified horticulturalist. When needed, contractors with whom we have a relationship may be called in for major grading and drainage issues. We also work closely with an irrigation contractor when we determine that irrigation is necessary.
