Terracing your landscape serves many different purposes. Not only does it meet the needs and configuration of your property but it serves a functional purpose as well. Many people think they are doomed when they have a backyard full of slopes. What most do not realize is by adding walls and terracing you are able to create those flat spaces you need for your patio or sitting area while adding a little interest and character to your yard. Not all landscapes are created flat. Over the years natural occurrences add texture and height to your landscape and now that you have decided to create a deck, you are encountering this problem for the first time. Unless you are willing to work with how the land is naturally laid out, you need to seek alternatives to flatten the area and accommodate your plans. Just because you have a sloped yard does not mean you cannot do anything with it. In fact, we have worked on several projects that had slopes. We were able to turn these into beautiful gardens, sitting areas, and even entertainment areas. ### Our Portfolios - [Backyard Entertainment Areas](https://www.moodscapesdesign.com/backyard-entertainment-areas) - [Backyard Oasis](https://www.moodscapesdesign.com/backyard-oasis-landscape-design) - [Contemplation Areas](https://www.moodscapesdesign.com/contemplation-area-landscape-design) - [Fall Landscapes](https://www.moodscapesdesign.com/fall-landscape-design-examples) - [Hardscapes](https://www.moodscapesdesign.com/hardscapes-landscape-design) - [Strolling Gardens](https://www.moodscapesdesign.com/strolling-gardens-landscape-designs) - [Terraced Landscapes](https://www.moodscapesdesign.com/terraced-landscapes) - [Texture and Color Gardens](https://www.moodscapesdesign.com/texture-and-color-gardens) - [Water Features](https://www.moodscapesdesign.com/water-feature-landscape-designs) - [Welcoming Front Yard](https://www.moodscapesdesign.com/welcoming-front-yard-design-examples) - [Woodland Garden](https://www.moodscapesdesign.com/woodland-gardens-landscape-design-examples) ![join-team.png](https://www.moodscapesdesign.com/hs-fs/hubfs/moodscapes-theme-2017/images/join-team.png?width=115&name=join-team.png "join-team.png") ![Request Your Terraced Landscapes](https://www.moodscapesdesign.com/hs-fs/hubfs/moodscapes-theme-2017/images/bottom-form-bkground.jpg?width=1600&name=bottom-form-bkground.jpg "Request Your Terraced Landscapes") ### Request Your Terraced Landscapes If you are interested in creating your own terraced landscape or looking to organically sustain your current landscape, please fill out the information below and we will be in touch with you soon!
